One photo.
Seen only once.
Send a photo to a friend. They open it once, then it's gone. Your number is never shown.
- 2 photos to open, on us
- No chat, no feed
- Checked photos
Three taps, that's all
Your friend doesn't need the app first. Once lets them know.
-
1
Take a photo
Open Once: the camera is ready. Take your photo, or pick one from your gallery.
-
2
Pick a friend
Choose someone from your contacts, then tap “Send”. Each photo you send costs 1 credit.
-
3
They open it once
Once lets them know with a text message signed “Once”. They open the photo in the app, just once. Then it's gone.
You're in control
Before each photo, two simple settings.
Ephemeral default
Your friend sees the photo just once. When they close it, it's over.
Viewable for 7 days
Turn off “Ephemeral”: they can look at it again for 7 days. You can take it back whenever you like.
Saving
Off by default. If you allow it, your friend can keep the photo on their phone.
Simple and clear
Once is built for sharing a photo with confidence. Here's exactly what's protected.
Your number stays hidden
Your friend never sees your name or your number, only your fixed nickname, like “Nacre #4987”.
Checked photos
Every photo is checked automatically before it's delivered. Banned content is blocked.
Report and block
A “Report” button on every photo. You can block a nickname: they won't be able to send you anything again.
18+ only
Once is for adults only. Accounts that break the rules are suspended.
No chat
Once isn't a messaging app or a dating app. One photo, one way.
No more texts? One click
Don't want to receive anything? Go to oncephoto.com/en/stop. No account needed.
We'd rather be honest
In the app, screenshots are blocked or hidden. But nobody can stop someone from taking a picture of the screen with another device. And your nickname hides you from your friend, not from us: in case of abuse, Once knows where the photo came from. Only send what you'd be okay with being passed around.
Only pay for what you use
The app is free to download. No subscription required.

Frequently asked questions
Will my friend see my number?
No. The text message comes from Once, not from you. In the app, your friend only sees your fixed nickname, never your name or your number.
Does my friend need to have Once already?
No. They get a text message with a link. They install Once, create their account and open the photo. The link stays valid for 7 days.
What's a credit?
1 credit = 1 photo sent. A credit is only used if the photo actually goes out, after the automatic check.
What happens after my 2 free photos?
You can open your first 2 received photos for free, in total. After that, Once Premium (€6.99 a month or €49.99 a year) lets you open everything.
Can someone take a screenshot?
In the app, screenshots are blocked or hidden, unless you've allowed saving. But taking a picture of the screen with another device is always possible. Only send what you're okay with being passed around.
I'm getting texts from Once and I don't want them.
Go to oncephoto.com/en/stop and enter your number. No one will be able to send you a photo through Once anymore.
One photo. Only once.
Once is coming soon. Check back very soon.
