1. The service

Once lets you send a private photo to someone, who can open it only once in the app. The sender appears under a nickname. Once is not a messaging service or a dating service.

2. Age and account

You must be 18 or older. Your account is personal. You are responsible for everything sent from your account.

3. Banned content

• Any content involving a minor, of any kind.
• Any photo of a person taken or shared without their consent, including intimate photos. Nudity between consenting adults is allowed; it is strictly forbidden as soon as a person could be under 18 (such photos are automatically rejected).
• Harassment, threats, blackmail, incitement to hatred or violence, violent or shocking content.
• Scams, spam, advertising, and any content that is illegal or infringes the rights of others.

Every photo is checked automatically before it is delivered; a rejected photo is not sent and does not use a credit. This check is not foolproof and does not release you from following these rules.

4. Reporting, blocking and sanctions

The recipient can report a photo and block a nickname. We review reports, and may remove a photo, or suspend or delete an account without notice in case of a serious breach, and pass information to the authorities when the law requires it (in particular for any child sexual abuse material). 5. Single opening: what it guarantees

By default, a photo is ephemeral: it can be opened only once in Once, then it becomes inaccessible. The sender can choose to make it viewable again for 7 days, and to allow the recipient to save it to their gallery; the sender then takes responsibility for its distribution. Screenshots are blocked or hidden when the system allows it, but nothing can stop someone from photographing the screen with another device. Only send what you accept may be kept.

6. Sending credits

Credit packs are one-time in-app purchases (App Store or Google Play). 1 credit = 1 photo sent. A credit is only used if the photo is sent successfully. Credits do not expire, cannot be refunded in cash by Once, and are lost if you delete your account. A photo withdrawn by the sender, or that expires without being opened, does not give its credit back. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google; a refunded pack removes the matching credits that are still available.

7. Once Premium

Each account can open 2 photos for free in total. Once Premium (monthly or yearly) lets you open every photo you receive. The subscription renews automatically at the displayed price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period, from your Apple or Google account settings. Access stays active until the end of the paid period. Deleting your Once account does not cancel the subscription with the store.

8. Liability

Each user is solely responsible for the photos they send. Once is a hosting provider within the meaning of the law and acts promptly to remove clearly illegal content reported to it.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. In case of a dispute, you can use a consumer mediator free of charge before taking any legal action.

These terms are a translation of the French version (Conditions d'utilisation), which prevails in case of any difference.
